Overview
Hero Health's Direct Booking functionality allows users to book appointments on behalf of patients directly into their EMIS or TPP instance. Rather than building and maintaining your own appointment scheduling infrastructure, you can integrate Hero's robust and scalable booking system with minimal effort.
Key capabilities
Book appointments seamlessly
Users can schedule appointments directly within their EMIS or TPP system, selecting the appropriate:
- Slot type
- Location
- Practitioner
Once an appointment is selected, users can add relevant booking details and confirm the appointment instantly.
Cross-organisational booking
Hero supports booking across multiple organisations, enabling seamless referrals and networked care. Users can schedule appointments not only within their own practice but also into partner sites, such as PCNs or hub clinics.

Hero manages patient notifications, including:
